Sampling
Two or three physical samples, each one a real toy rather than a rendering. We change proportions until the toy looks like the drawing at arm’s length.
Plush production for brands that have to sell the result: sampled until you sign it off, tested batch by batch, delivered retail-ready with labels, bags and cartons.
Two or three physical samples, each one a real toy rather than a rendering. We change proportions until the toy looks like the drawing at arm’s length.
Patterns graded per size, fabric cut in-house, seams specified by where a child will pull. Filling weighed per piece so the batch is consistent.
Accredited laboratory, batch by batch: EN71-1, EN71-2 and EN71-3. Eyes and noses pull-tested, not assumed.
Sewn-in and hang labels to your artwork, poly bag with the warning notice, barcodes, master cartons that survive a distribution centre.
There is no single number. A 15 cm toy with one fabric and a 45 cm toy with six pattern pieces are different production problems, and their minimums differ by a factor of several.
What we will not do is quote a minimum that looks attractive and then add costs at the sample stage. You get the quantity, the unit price at two quantity breaks and the tooling cost in the same message.
If the quantity you need is below our minimum, we will say so and point you somewhere sensible.
Every production batch is tested before it ships: EN71-1 for mechanical and physical properties, EN71-2 for flammability, EN71-3 for migration of specific elements. The reports and the CE declaration of conformity come with the goods.
Two retained samples stay with us for the record, which is what makes a complaint about a later batch answerable rather than a word against a word.
Peak season runs from August to November. A Christmas launch has to start in spring.
