Mascots for Hotels and Resorts

A resort character works harder than a club one: every day of the season, several appearances a day, often in thirty-degree heat. Built for that, or it lasts one summer.

What hotels and resorts come to us for

A kids club with a face

Children choose a hotel the second time because of the character. Parents book it. The mascot is the kids club’s entire brand.

Heat and daily shifts

Extended ventilation, cooling inserts and enough spare liners to rotate between shifts. This is the single most common failure in resort costumes.

Something to sell at reception

A plush version in the gift shop turns the character from a cost line into a revenue line, and children take the brand home.

Typical resort package

  • Two identical costumes in different performer sizes, so any animator on shift can wear one
  • Extended cooling: larger fans and two inserts per costume
  • Four spare liners per costume for daily rotation and washing
  • A wear-parts kit: gloves, feet and fastenings
  • Plush in two sizes for the gift shop, EN71 tested
  • Care and washing instructions written for your housekeeping team

What a character for this field can look like

Studio visualisations, not delivered projects. They show the construction and finish we work to; your character is designed from your brief, not picked from this page.

What we need from you

  • Appearances per day and the length of each
  • Indoor, outdoor or both, and your operating season
  • Size range of your animation team — it decides how many builds you need
  • Whether the character interacts physically with children
  • Opening date of the season it must be ready for

Planning the budget

Budget per character, not per costume. Two identical builds plus wear parts and spare liners cost more up front and far less across a season than replacing one overworked costume twice.

Order before the season, not during it. A costume ordered in May for a June opening is a rush job at a surcharge, and the rush slots are limited.

Questions hotels ask

How many mascot costumes does a hotel kids club need?
Usually two identical costumes in different performer sizes, so any animator on shift can wear one. The size range of your animation team decides how many builds you need. MascotiQ recommends budgeting per character: two builds plus wear parts and spare liners cost less across a season than replacing one overworked costume.
Can hotel housekeeping wash a mascot costume?
Partly. The liners are removable and machine washable at 30 °C, and a MascotiQ resort package includes four spare liners per costume for daily rotation. The outer is spot cleaned only, never machine washed. Care and washing instructions are written for your housekeeping team.
When should a resort order a mascot for the season?
Before the season, not during it. A mascot costume takes 12–16 weeks from written design approval. A costume ordered in May for a June opening becomes a rush job: possible from 8 weeks with a surcharge, but rush slots are limited each quarter, so tell MascotiQ your opening date first.
Can a hotel sell its mascot as a plush toy in the gift shop?
Yes. MascotiQ produces the resort character as plush in two sizes for the gift shop, EN71 tested and CE marked, which turns the character from a cost line into a revenue line. Other items popular with hotels include blankets, rubber bath ducks for kids clubs and luggage tags.
